The Young Researcher Seminar 2013 will be held at the Villemanzy hotel residence, in the heart of Lyon, near the Hôtel de Ville and Opera neighbourhoods.

Located in the heart of the city between the Rhône and Saone rivers, on the slopes of the Croix- Rousse, the Villemanzy *** Residence is a former convent completely renovated, overlooking a garden and having a situation and an exceptional view over the Rhone, the suburbs of Lyon and the Alps mountain chain.

The seminar will take place at Villemanzy’s facilities, including registration, plenary and parallel sessions, lunches, coffee breaks and the opening and closing ceremony. Although not compulsory, Villemanzy residence is the recommended hotel for the event, since special prices are proposed to participants. Moreover, since one of the targets of YRS is to facilitate the discussion and the exchanges among young researchers and between young and senior researchers, tutor’s accommodation will also take place at the residence.

How to reach Villemanzy Hotel: 

From Airport Saint-Exupéry: Take the Rhône Express (train to Lyon center) and stop at Vaulx-en-Vélin la Soie). Take the metro A, direction Perrache, and stop at Hôtel de Ville - Louis Pradel, then change to metro C, direction Cuire, and stop at Croix-Paquet (the first stop). The hotel is near the metro stop.

From Part-Dieu Station (and from Villette stop, last stop of Rhône-Express if you miss the stop before): Go walking to Cours Lafayette (Lafayette Avenue), which is 5 minuts on food straight. Take the bus C3, direction Gare Saint Paul, and stop at Hôtel de Ville - Louis Pradel. Then take metro C direction Cuire and stop at Croix-Paquet. The hotel is near the metreo stop.

From Perrache Station: take metro A direction Vaulx-en-Velin la Soie, then take metro C, direction Cuire, and stop at Croix-Paquet (the first stop). The hotel is near the metro stop.
